A Starting Point Itinerary
Day 1:

Travel by bus down to North Carolina where we start our tour up along the East Coast of the USA
Day 2:

Visit the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site on Roanoke Island, NC and learn about the Lost Colony

Head to the Roanoke Adventure Museum for an interactive learning experience for students to discover the history of the area
Day 3:

Travel on to Jamestown to the reconstruction of this colonial settlement

Spend the day discovering the settlement and learning about the latest archaeological finds from the field workers still on-site

Introduce students to the historical legacy of Captain John Smith and Pocahontas.
Day 4:

Head into Williamsburg and allow students to understand the natural progression made by the Colonists as they grew from settlements to flourishing towns.

Take a guided tour of the town and take part in hands-on activities to make history come alive
Day 5:

Complete the tour in Philadelphia where the flourishing colonies formed the first independent government and where the Constitution of the United States was first drafted in 1787.
