A Starting Point Itinerary

Day 1:

  • Overnight flight to Rome

 

Day 2: 

  • Have an overview of the City

  • See the Piazza Venezia, Campidoglia and Capitoline Museums, Vatican City and the Colosseum

Day 3: 

  • Tour the Vatican Museums, visit the Sistine Chapel to see Michaelangelo’s ceiling masterpiece  

  • Visit Saint Peter’s Basilica  

  • Go on to view the Borghese Gallery

Day 4:  

  • Have a guided walking tour of classical Rome

  • Visit the Pantheon, the Forum and the Colosseum 

  • After dinner take an evening stroll to view some of Rome’s famous fountains

Day 5:

  • Depart for Florence. 

  • Visit the Duomo and climb to the top of the dome for a breathtaking view of the city

  • Tour the Accademia and see Michaelangelo’s David

Day 6: 

  • Visit the Uffizi Gallery with a guide

  • Take a walking tour of the Piazza della Signoria, the center of civil power

  • See the Palozzo Vecchio

  • Spend some time strolling across the Ponte Vecchio. View its hanging houses and many shops

  • After lunch go on to your private fresco painting workshop

Day 7:

  • Depart for home
