International Tours and Homestays
Carousel Student Tours Inc provides two types of international student programs. The first is a hotel and youth hostel based program. The second is a homestay program. Both programs are 100% customized for your group. Because this is the way we have been doing business for the past 20 years, we have established a wide array of personal contacts that are invaluable to our ability to give you the best trip possible. Carousel Student Tours Inc can organize a trip for as few as 6 students and as many as 50 students. Carousel Student Tours Inc never combines different school groups into larger groups.
Carousel Student Tours Inc can provide references from schools here in the United States as well as from abroad.
Hotel and Youth Hostel Programs
In our hotel and youth hostel based programs, itineraries are individually designed by a representitive of Carousel Student Tours Inc working with the teacher who is leading the trip. These itineraries vary from trip to trip depending on each school's specifications. Tours can last for any amount of time and can even span multiple countries. We assist each school individually and design a tour package that fits their budget and their needs. Some schools want a tour based on historical sights while others prefer an art and architecture based itinerary. Some schools want to travel through Europe by high-speed train, staying only in youth hostels, while other schools want full time travel guides, personal mini-coaches and to stay only in haunted castles. What makes our company valuable is that we work with your group to develop an itinerary that suits your group. Carousel Student Tours Inc can help you plan and book every aspect of a trip abroad.
Homestay Exchange Programs
For a school that is interested in a language-based program we offer a very unique homestay exchange. This is the type of program our company was founded on and over the years we have successfully run hundreds of them. There are two aspects of the exchange: inbound an outbound. Schools can choose to participate in the inbound, the outbound or both as a combination. Here is how they work.
Company representatives visit Europe to locate schools interested in forming exchange partnerships with American schools. These schools are then matched with schools in New England.
The exchanges are usually run through the World Languages Department as language-based programs, but can also be run through the Social Studies or Art departments as cultural exchanges.
Carousel Student Tours Inc. makes all of the arrangements on both sides of the exchange, including but not limited to:
- finding homes for incoming students;
- coordinating homes for American students going to Europe;
- arranging all air transportation;
- arranging all excursions and transportation for the students;
- handling all of the money;
- providing a tour escort;
- acting as liaison between the American and European exchange partners.
The American students have the opportunity to participate in the homestay exchange experience, and the American teachers do not have to do the work setting up the program.
